Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon

For 2014, the Club is pleased to be working in aid of Step Short and the Gurkha Memorial Fund for its main fund-raising event, the annual Half Marathon, organised by Rotarian Ray Johnson. Click on the link on the left to see the latest news, including details of previous races, which have supported Folkestone & District Mind, KAB, Demelza House and Macmillan Cancer Support in recent years.

Image of Half Marathon 2012Each September, Rotarian Ray Johnson organises the Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon and this year's race will be held on Sunday September 28th 2014, when there will again also be a children's race at 10.30am. Ray produced a new brochure for the 2014 event - click here to see it (note that is a fairly large document so may take time to open!) and Colin Baggott of Colin Jon Photography has posted a video on YouTube - click here to see it in a new window or tab.

The 2014 entry form is available by clicking on this link: 2014 Entry Form

The 2014 supported both Step Short and the Gurkha Memorial Fund (click on the logos on the right to go to the website). Participants are also encouraged to run for their chosen charities if they prefer.

We’ve teamed up with Grant Burton Photography, so why not check out their website and grab a picture – any purchased assist charity and it’s a great souvenir! Just click here to go to their site.

Results, images and reports on all the races so far are also available below in PDF format. If you don't have a PDF reader, use the link below to download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free.
